pennymoney

White dots
Blink in black
The flag went up
And she came out
Three times around
Make a country mile
For a while
I wanted an island
Those same sets of eyes
Watch from the mountain

Before the stand
She took my hand
Pennymoney’s all I have
That and a
Pencil-pushing marching band
Ask too much
Give a little
Someone’s holed up
In the middle, and

Just ask the cheapskate there
When the money trail
Disappeared
Into thin air
Throw the ringer
Off we go
She’s around here
That I know

Patience
Scapegoat
Cut and paste that ransom note
Give me my pennymoney back
As I walk away
Watch my back
Wait a minute
Your eyes are white
And you’re not on the side
You said you were on
Pennymoney so long
Pennymoney so long
