end of the line

I’m running out of luck
So I’m driving to the end of the line
Spread all our things in the back of my daddy’s old truck
Mine is yours and yours is mine
My daddy says that you’re fine
I hope your daddy
He won’t mind
But I don’t think I’ll have you back in time

I do believe we’ve reached the end of the line
You can turn around now or stay for the ride
Where we go it’s all a surprise
Because I don’t know what to expect sometimes

Your mistakes
Lie in the plans you make
The blueprints for our escape
Were made up in haste
Your decisions work against you every time
You’re trying too hard today, baby
Lay back and trust me this time

Now I do believe we’ve reached the end of the line
You can turn around now or stay for the ride
Where we go it’s all a surprise
Because I don’t know what to expect sometimes

The gas tank’s near empty
So take the wheel from me, baby
We don’t have much more to drive
A little farther down the road
Not much more to go
Then we’ll take the dive

I believe we’ve reached the end of the line
You can turn around now or stay for a while
The road runs straight into the sea
We can keep driving, it’s all right with me
If we’ve gone too far just tell me it’s time
Where we go it’s all a surprise
Because I don’t know what to expect sometimes
